This is a game project that I started creating in 2019. At the time, my goal was to showcase a person's life in an imagined future where digital technology is the sole means of living, buying, traveling, and communicating with the world. In this future, people spend their entire lives confined to their rooms and beds.
As technology continues to advance, people are living more convenient lives. They can obtain everything they need, including daily necessities, food, information, and entertainment, through digital technology and the internet (via smartphones and computers), without ever leaving their rooms. Although digital technology provides a variety of functions that help people solve many problems, people are becoming increasingly reliant on it and are no longer communicating or seeking help by stepping outside their comfort zones.
Furthermore, the COVID-19 pandemic has confined people to their rooms and distanced them from each other, leaving them feeling trapped. In light of these circumstances, I have resumed work on this game with new ideas that incorporate my experiences during this time.
Sources and materials used include free models from Google Warehouse and Maya, free images from Design net, free music found online, as well as self-created models and music. UnityStore was also utilized in the development process
